At YBE Ghana, our mission is to positively impact communities and the planet through socially responsible initiatives. Guided by our three pillars – Education, Water, and Natural Resource Conservation – we aim to create lasting, shared value.
Abundant Grace Baptist Church took the lead in designing and constructing a vibrant community library from a repurposed 40ft shipping container, with a vision to promote learning among children in the community. YBE Ghana provided technical support, including design guidance and site assessments, in support of the project, ensuring it aligns with sustainable building practices.
This library serves as a nurturing space for children, housing over 100 books and fostering a love for learning within the community.
Beach Clean-up
YBE Ghana partnered with Eblah Foundation and some local NGOs to do a beach clean up exercise along the coast of Accra. Students from the Department of Marine and Fisheries Science – University of Ghana, Legon, also joined the exercise.
The clean up was organized to raid the beaches of Accra from plastic waste, which is slowly becoming a huge waste challenge in the country.
We also organize training workshops for artisans in the construction industry on various skills as a means of empowering them. Participants who excel during our workshops are recruited and employed to join our team
